Christmas in the City is a 100% volunteer organization and it is your time and effort that makes this wonderful event a success. We need help before, during, and after the party as well as all year long.

All volunteer opportunities for our upcoming event have been filled. We sincerely apologize that we cannot accommodate your interest in donating your time--our volunteers are our most important resource and we wish we could include everyone. If you send us an email at volunteer@christmasinthecity.org we will notify you of volunteer opportunities for the 2010 Christmas in the City event and about other ways you can be involved in Christmas in the City's year around activities.

We currently need groups and individual volunteers to become "Christmas in the City Satellites". In that role you and your group could help us make this a better Christmas for a lot of kids. Right now, Christmas in the City needs 6000 gifts for kids in shelters and those who we can't accommodate at the event. We also need help getting together contents for Mothers' Bags for the party. In Mothers' Bags we put cosmetics, gift cards, scarves, mittens, hats (home-made garments are fine but clothing must be new), and other stocking stuffers and any items which might be helpful to a mom spending Christmas in a shelter. You can also play Santa by buying and wrapping a gift from a child's wish list and dropping off by December 18th. For a child's wish list call 617-542-6611 or requesting one online on our Donations Page.
